I along with a select few of my peers were chosen to conduct environmental research at the State University of New York at Old Westbury. Here, we used samples of "Caenorhabditis Elegans", commonly referred to as "C. Elegans" for our experiments. Under the supervision of professors and undergraduate students, we introduced several outside factors such as an increase in Phosphate levels to observe and record how these organisms reacted. Through our understanding of these organisms, we would be able to infer how these same changes in the environment might affect other organisms as well.
