US Naval Reserve officer and pilot after inter-service transfer from active duty in the US Army. Assignments included SH-2F anti-submarine pilot with HSL-74, Asst. Aviation Maintenance Officer with the USS John F Kennedy (Aircraft Carrier) at NAS South Weymouth MA; Office of Naval Intelligence Detachment at the US Naval War College (war gaming staff), and C4-ISR airborne experimentation coordinator and plank owner at the Naval Warfare Development Command (NWDC), conceiving and successfully demonstrating several new technology war fighting concepts that were later adapted and used in-theater overseas. Served in a reserve capacity punctuated by many periods of temporary active duty for surge support for flight operations, shipboard deployments, War Games, and Fleet Battle Experiments (FBE/JTFX). Conceived the concept of applying Network Centric Principles to commercial complex product support (aircraft and building systems) and applying it to his civilian job at United Technologies, coining the term Network Centric Product Support and demonstrating an early application of the Digital Thread/Digital Twin architectural concept.

This system transformed the company’s RapidPatent division's document retrieval operations from microfilm to electronic and at the time was considered to be among the largest optical databases in the world yet was able to fit on a desk.

Also completed extensive periods of Naval Reserve temporary active duty transitioning from an Army pilot to a Navy pilot in Anti-Submarine Warfare, Search & Rescue Helicopter Pilot. Pilot qualified in the S-76B/C helicopter at this time sponsored by the Sikorsky Pilot's Office.

Managed the transition of a prototype, automated billboard painting machine project from R&D to production. These 40’+ massive scanning/painting machines transformed the billboard industry from painted or silk screened strips in the 1990s to the single piece vinyl sheets in use today through a revolutionary scanning and piezoelectric ink "dot shooting" printing method.
