I take a leadership role in the organization, review and ongoing development of the general education courses offered by the College. Participate in budget planning and in the materials and human resources for the program. Oversee curriculum review and revision so that the curriculum is consistent with appropriate accreditation guidelines. Actively support an outcomes-based learning centered culture through continued professional development for improvement of self and the college in keeping with the College's learning-centered values and goals. Work in collaboration with other Department Chairs to sustain an environment of academic excellence.

Each semester I teach two sections of a First Semester Experience course of approximately 80 students and an Academic Recovery cource for students who have failed one course.As the Learning Specialist, I work in the Student Success Program. I help with special learning accommodations for students who have learning disabilities. I teach study skills, note taking, test taking techniques, time management, and goal setting.

I teach group theory and research methods. The researh method's course goal is to teach the student how to write a proposal to conduct research. For most of the students, this is their first online course.
