RMD creates products for airway management that are designed to improve patient outcomes, increase hospital reimbursement & revenue, reduce costs per procedure and promote hospital staff safety.RMD’s first two products are being developed to optimize patient positioning and provide continuous ventilation during the intubation process. The SuperNO2VA™ (Nasal Oxygenation and Ventilation Apparatus) is the only commercially available product designed to provide both oral and / or nasal ventilation. This single-use product is the first to market, which enables continuous nasal ventilation of a patient when attempting to secure an airway (intubation). The AirSPACE™ (Air Sniffing Position And Chin Elevation) device is designed to enable simple, rapid patient positioning allowing the anesthesia provider to optimally position the patient and adjust the glottic view for intubation.

Presided over transition of lasers, laser designators and LADAR for Degraded Visual Environment (DVE) technologies from S&T Group to operational capability. Provided decisive leadership and direction for 70 direct and indirect staff including Area Managers for Mine Countermeasures, Platform Protection, and S&T, plus an Operations Manager responsible for Engineering, Production, and administrative employees. Oversee production, prime contracting, and IP portfolio including patents and Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) rights. Built and cultivated strategic, long-term relationships with business partners, stakeholders, lobbyists, and key decision-makers in the U.S. Government including the Army, Navy & OSD. Conduct and manage high-powered negotiations with prime contractors such as Raytheon and Northrop Grumman Corporation.Selected Achievements:* Established company as a premier provider of Mine Countermeasure Systems, winning contracts to provide all current operational LIDAR systems to DOD for Mine Counter Measures (MCM) including Airborne Laser Mine Detection System (ALMDS) and AN-AQS-20A EOID system.* Fueled 25% increase in profit and more than 3X revenue growth since taking over Division. * Drove on time, within budget delivery of 24 LADAR systems to the U.S. Navy under firm fixed price program. Slashed build time for each system from 6 months to 3 weeks due to overhaul of production facility.

Recruited to establish and grow new business unit focused on inventing groundbreaking micro-sensor technologies while pursuing funding from U.S. Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Program. Managed and coordinated 2-6 direct reports and 3-5 contractors. Drafted proposals and directed SBIR Phase I and II Programs encompassing development of MEMS-based optical switch and micro-photonic sensor systems for unmanned air/ ground/sea platforms and smart weapons being developed by the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). Built extensive network of industry and university partners.
