IBM Systems Availabilty Leader working onsite at a Major Global Bank.In my role, I am responsible for proactive service improvement activities focused on continually increasing the availability of IBM Hardware, Software and Services. In addition, when the Client encounters a problem, I am responsible for escalation and prompt resolution of issues to ensure the high availability of their IT environment.

Responsible for the leadership, project management and people management of the Java Service Team. IBM is a Licensee of Java Technology and produce versions of Java on many IBM and non-IBM platforms, including Windows, AIX, i5OS, z/OS, Solaris, HP and varieties of Linux.My team investigated Customer problems and where necessary provided fixes to bugs in the Java product.During this period, the global Java Daylight Saving Time (DST) issue provided the most challenging problem of my career where we were able to design and implement a tool to fix the problem for our Customers without requiring the need to apply the latest levels of code which could cause major impacts.

In my first people management position, I was also responsible for task and project management of a team of 25+ people. Supporting the most award winning Enterprise Messaging solution which is used by the majority of the Worlds largest and most influencial Companies. The team investigated problems and when required provide fixes for both external Customers and internal IBM consumers of the technology.
