I worked on aircraft instruments used throughout the industry. These instruments combine magnetism, mechanical movements, weights and electrical inputs to create a linear output of the represented component displayed by the instrument.

I Tested the Eaton ePDU product lines. I tested products with both menu-driven software and written procedures. When there was a failure in any of the products except products in the HD line, I troubleshot to board level with meters and prints.

During the first 5+ years of my employment, traveled the Dominion Power plants and tested for air compliance by accomplishing CGAs, Linearities, PM testing and Gas RATAs. Created all paperwork associated with these tests. In 2011, my responsibilities shifted to QA and the support of the Air Emissions Testing Body (AETB) Certification program. In 2014, I was responsible for the complete AETB program. Annually, I updated all procedures, training, and the QA manual. I accomplished paperwork and field audits of the testing and represented our group during an outside audit from the EPA or DEQ.

As an I & C Plant Technician, provided technical assistance and accomplished tasks involving the installation, testing, repair, calibration, and maintenance of all types of electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment. Examples of the equipment that I was responsible for are Thermocouples (TC), Resistance Temperature Devices (RTD), DP transmitters, Pressure transmitters, Flow meters & Flow monitors, Variable speed Drives (AC), Motor Controls, environmental monitoring analyzers and many other types of instrumentation associated with a power plant facility. I also supported all PLC applications, an Environmental Data Acquisition program, and a Distributive Control System 3 Plus by Rosemount.
