I lead design for AI services and Generative AI at AWS, where I manage a team of 35+ UX designers, supporting over 30 AI/ML services that enable enterprise use cases. These services include Amazon Bedrock for Gen AI developers and Amazon Q Business for enterprise business users.My mission is to unlock the creative potential of others and help create the conditions for their success. As a design leader at a large enterprise, this work requires leading at scale — navigating the organization to situate (and elevate) UX/Design/Research so we do the right work, at the right time, for the right customers. Since I work in AI UX, an area where both the problems and solutions are ambiguous, I must (and love) getting into the details of what, how, and for whom we are designing. This requires building and nurturing an incredibly talented team of designers who certainly could work elsewhere in easier roles, but choose to be part of something difficult because it’s challenging and rewarding to invent the future of AI UX.
