Senior Windows/Messaging administrator\Team Lead currently working on the City of Chicago contract for Unisys (subcontracted through Total Response Technology) Led Team of 7-8 Windows System Admins in day to day functionality and to manage new project completions for the client. Managed 600 Servers (450 Virtual, 150 Physical) across twenty locations in the city (3 main data centers and various remote sites). Also managed 3 McAfee Ironmail 6.7.2 Mail Appliances and 3 Cisco Ironport 10.X Mail Appliances. Participated in two Datacenter relocations of both DR and Production sites including movement and new installation of hardware at site. Physical servers managed consisted of HP G1 through Gen8 (Blade Chassis and Rackmount) and Dell 4G through 11G (Blade Chassis and Rackmount) Production virtual environment for virtual servers included managing servers using VMWare 6.5, VMWare 5.5 and Citrix Xen Server 6 Installed and Maintained Dell and HP Blade Servers with VMWare 6.5, including installing and configuring new blades with ESX OS and provisioning into existing environment. Worked with Dell Blades in both FX2 Chassis and M1000e Chassis, and HP Blades in a c7000 chassis Work with Dell Compellant to provision new LUNS and Datastores for use in Windows Virtual Servers and new Datastores for ESX Environment. Installed, Configured and Managed an Exchange 2010 Environment to serve as Hybrid Servers for Office365 Functionality and to service MRSProxy requests to support an Office365 migration and continued Office365 Mailbox support for multiple tenants. Troubleshot any messaging issues from end to end in both the on premise Exchange 2007 and 2010 environments and Office365, for ActiveSync, OWA and Outlook clients, and created and configured mail delivery/blocking rules in mail gateways as requested to resolve mailflow issues.  Created from scratch a new domain for PCI infrastructure, with a new SCCM 2012 R2 environment for patch management purposes

Managed a department of 10 Servers, across two locations, along with 25+ Windows PCs and several Macintoshes. Also managed a separate Test Server lab consisting of Windows 2008 and Linux Servers.Migrated Domain from Windows 2000 Server to 2008 Server.Setup Exchange Server 2007 in a Test Environment to facilitate migration from Ipswitch Imail.Maintained clients connections to the network using both wired and wireless connectivity.Administered the AD Domain, DNS, IIS, FTP, Email and SQL Servers.Coordinated and performed daily and weekly backups of the Servers in a redundant fashion to minimize the possibility of data loss. Managed the department's webpage and performed updates when necessary.Ordered and Installed new machines and printers in the department based on user need, and purchased and installed parts in current systems when necessary. Kept track of software licenses, to keep the department in legal compliance in all areas.Handled the network cabling of all PCs, Macs and Printers, and made new cables when necessary. Responsible for all UPSs in the department, ordering and changing batteries when necessary to keep PCs and Servers up and running, and used monitoring software to manage the UPSs.Used Xerox VI language to create complex mail merge direct print jobs.

Performed a site wide (1,000+) migration of old computers to new computers, maintained a database of these changes, performed tech. support for users who had issues with their migration (i.e. missing applications, data backup problems, etc.) Used Remote Desktop (Terminal Services) to connect to users PCs to correct problems. Provided phone support to remote offices to assist with the deployment of new machines and any problems that might arise.Researched and implemented various fixes for on campus problems alleviating the need for the triage process in many cases.Performed inventory in the Data Center building on campus of older units and kept track of decommissioned servers from the Data Center for use in future legal cases.Made and changed network cabling when necessary due upon new PC installation.

Upgraded and repaired computers, fixed many software problems and performed optimizations on systems in Windows and other software.Sold new computers to customers while working to find what would be the exact items they would need, built those same systems from scratch. Corrected many internet issues for users, such as rebuilding TCP/IP stacks and troubleshooting network traffic issues due to spyware/viruses. Assisted customers over the phone with tech support and warranty questions.Performed opening and closing store procedures as needed.
