Travelling Across The Whole Of Europe, With A Desk In Newton Abbot, Devon

Working for the Commercial function of the European regional organisation of Sibelco - one of the world's biggest international industrial minerals companies. I act as the interface between IT and Sales/Marketing, helping to develop and implement the systems that will deliver business benefit. My first task has been to travel around Sibelco's European units (including the UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Ukraine, Sweden, Finland, Russia and Norway) implementing and administering the Salesforce CRM solution, customised for Sibelco - a role that is a combination of Salesforce Solution Architect and Administrator. Other projects include mobile sales solutions, Sales and Customer Service training and assistance with Europe-wide ERP implementation.

Food Is Fun is a regional community interest company, based in Devon, which delivers food-based educational support to people in Devon & Cornwall. Food Is Fun motivates people to learn about the importance of food and healthy eating, helping them to explore food in ways that are both fun and engaging, yet relevant. It was founded in 2008 as a collaboration between local chefs and kitchen professionals aiming to improve people’s health and wellbeing and increase their knowledge of food and the importance of healthy eating. Through over 100 events Food Is Fun has reached thousands of people ranging from children, disadvantaged young people, families and the elderly. Chefs, volunteers and educators deliver sessions in primary schools, secondary schools, universities, Surestart centres, pupil referral units, community locations and food festivals. Food Is Fun have created a stimulating menu of memorable, interactive food events and courses, which are tailored to the specific needs of the audience. Starting as a Computer Programmer I became the head of IT for the WBB Group, with subsidiaries in Italy, Germany, Portugal, Holland, USA, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia. In addition to providing computer systems for these operations I also worked as an internal consultant to forward change projects within the WBB Group.
