As a senior benefit administrator and consultant, CPA and principal Dave VanNess is a regular advisor to corporations, universities, governments and associations on benefit compliancy and employee retirement plan administration issues. He brings nearly 20 years of retirement plan experience to Nyhart and is a critical member of the consulting team.A graduate of Indiana State University, Dave's experience includes a five-year stint working with the Internal Revenue Service as a revenue agent auditing qualified retirement plans and leading a 401(k) administrative team at regional TPA firm Watkins Ross & Company. Before joining Nyhart in 2004, Dave spent two years with International firm Ernst and Young, working in their human resource consulting division for a variety of industries and business sectors.Today Dave oversees three benefit administrative teams. First, Dave heads the 401(k) defined contribution administrative services team who administers a variety of defined contribution plans, 401(k), profit-sharing plans, and employee stock-ownership plans.
