Led solders in two combat deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Planned and executed over 200 missions in Baghdad, Iraq focused on establishing local governance in five villages as well as performing infrastructure assessments and improvements to build power sub-stations, sewage disposal systems, and clean water lines to every house.• Responsible for the security of 32 polling sites in Baghdad, Iraq during the Referendum Election and National Election in 2005. The successful security of these sites provided the local citizens the safety to vote in their first free election.• Accountable for the training, safety, and resourcing of the unit in both training and combat operations to ensure that the solders were equipped to complete their mission. • Developed the strategy and planning of military operations in Baghdad, Iraq to destabilize the insurgency and establish a local governing system.• Wrote a white paper on the use of non-lethal assets such as Civil Affair and Tactical Psychological Warfare teams in a combat environment. This white paper was submitted to the Division tactics, techniques, and procedures team to disseminate across all other units.
