Our Mission: To support patients and their families through direct care, advocacy and treatment – helping people with ALS to live life to the fullest.ALS of Nevada is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organization serving those with ALS, their families, and caregivers throughout Nevada. It is our goal to serve all persons and their families living with and fighting ALS in Nevada – one person at a time. We work extensively to provide much-needed programs that offer emotional, physical and financial assistance. ALS of Nevada is dedicated to providing the best care and service possible to those that have ALS until research efforts lead to the day when we find a cause and cure for Lou Gehrig’s disease. With your help, our mission will continue, and we will be able to better assist those who depend upon us. What We Do: •We provide people with ALS with aids for daily living, during each phase of ALS. •We can help you find people who’ve been through ALS to offer their advice and share experiences. •We offer in-home visits by licensed personnel. •We coordinate support group meetings in Northern and Southern Nevada. •We actively raise funds in your community to continue our non-profit services. Our Hope: •To help those with ALS and their families to live as full and as normal a life as possible. •To aid ALS patients through the loan of equipment or by other means. •To serve as a liaison, linking those with ALS and their family to available resources and information. •To educate and inform the general public as to the nature of ALS. •To encourage and support research for the prevention, alleviation, care, treatment and cure of ALS. •To increase awareness of ALS in all levels of government in an effort to expand government support of research and elicit programs to make treatments and care accessible and affordable for all people with ALS.

Orbis Education mission is to build unmatched partnerships between students, universities, and healthcare systems through innovative educational programs that empower students to transform lives, enable universities to increase enrollments and achieve their academic goals, and create experienced, clinically trained professionals for employers. Presently supporting 28 Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) and 4 Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) programsAs a wholly owned subsidiary of Grand Canyon Education, Inc. (GCE), Orbis Education is primarily focused on pre-licensure healthcare programs that relate the needs of the employer with the growth of its university partners.

Developed contacts at all Clark County School District High Schools, received permission to have Anthem’s marketing materials added in College and Career Centers. Have been invited extensively to high school classrooms as Guest Speaker to encourage students to stay in school, graduate, to establish and follow their career or educational goal. Developed and created relationships with Social Workers or Case Managers for Workforce Connections, Nevada Partners, Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow, Southern Nevada Children First, Latin Chamber of Commerce, Job Connects, and One-Stops to assist their clients to apply for the career path of their choice. Actively participate with the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and special events related to education host by Councilpersons of the City of Las Vegas.

In a collaborative effort with other team members and internal departments of the Review-Journal, actively brought greater value to advertisers by providing a wider range of marketing opportunities, ad programs, and increased quality of ad design and layout. Identified for management critical areas of concern related to growth processes and suggested vital action plans. In down turned market, worked tirelessly to create new market share, advertisers, and to improve readership.

Developed and retained new accounts providing DOT qualified drivers to clients including Albertsons (nationally) and Borders (in a seven-state territory), including those requiring contract labor leased employees. Increased account income by 58% in one year. Developed marketing materials, attended and staffed booths at the International Trucking Association trade shows. Conduct price studies to assure profit margins and up-to-date-billings. Created new training manuals for special project to standardize training and reduce employee attrition. Total personal sales contribution after first year exceeded 6 million annually during tenure. Traveled nationally.

Based on the simply need for social activity, physical exercise, and a therapeutic modality for individuals with some form of disability, their families and friends, and for volunteers ... all of whose lives were irreversibility changed by the interaction between a horse, a rider, and the human need to belong to something larger than the Self.
