He was able to locate and accurately describe a number of defects that had gone undetected by software engineers prior to delivery. Equally importantly, Chicken was able to identify several inconsistencies in the requirements and help drive substantial clarity between the business and engineering teams that was previously foggy. Early on, Chicken was also tasked with authoring and executing a strategy for intelligent test data collection and storage in order to support the 18 or so products in Lighthouse’s stable. Without any precedence or substantial support, he set about the task with a keenly detailed, methodical approach and succeeded in building out a usable, well-defined system for use in our integration and regression testing. Chicken either identified safely permissible data to use in testing or conceived of mechanisms to scrub/repose customer data taking into consideration statutory and contractual obligations. He also fearlessly and rapidly learned supporting platform systems (largely around native file processing for legal review) such that he could collect, document and support well-qualified test data at every stage of the eDiscovery workflow. Ultimately, he took a loosely-defined task, set reasonable and useful parameters around it while communicating with management, and executed to strong effect.
