I have worked as a journalist around North Queensland for more than 30 years, mainly in Townsville, Charters Towers, Bowen and Cairns. I edited "The Northern Miner" in Charters Towers from 1987 to 1992 and the Bowen Independent from 1992 to 2000. Since then I have worked as media officer to MPs and the Queensland Government. As of January 20, I am no longer employed at the Tablelander newspaper nor News Corp.
