This is my second trade, my 1st being an electrician working in domestic as well as industrial. I’ve been exposed to house fitouts, data installs, and appliance repairs. I ran my own van and managed approximately 10 jobs a day. Since 2004 I’ve had the pleasure to work on various aircraft from piston powered Islanders and Aero Commanders, to Boeing 717’s with Qantas and 727’s with Australian Air Express. I have experience as a line engineer on RPT as well as heavy maintenance in various hangers across Australia in lead and team roles. My past experience with Cobham has exposed me to installations and maintenance on Australia’s Boarder Force Surveillance aircraft, working with computer networks and cutting edge equipment. I’ve formed relationships with the bench technicians as well as the aircrew. I have also done various installs from FMS installs with Skytrans to the AMSA Rescue Challenger 604 fitouts. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty by changing wheels or swinging spanners on an engine change. I’m a licenced B2 on - DHC 8 Classics

Avionics LameCobham Aviation Services Australia Jan 2004 - Jun 2022Cairns Area, AustraliaStarted and completed my 2nd apprenticeship, and have gained endorsements on several of our aircraft types. My training was carried out over a vast variety of aircraft types and ranges from small general aviation aircraft, government search, to airliners and freighters. I spent equal portions of my apprenticeship time with both B1 and B2 trades which now helps me get the job done. My work with Cobham has taken me all over the country supporting and rescuing aircraft in amazing places from the Coccos Islands to remote locations such as Weipa and Gove. I really enjoy, and spend most of my time looking after the Australian Boarder Force fleet and have maintenance and installation exposure to search radars, airborne cameras, direction finding equipment, computer networking, and satellite data/vocal communications both encrypted and non encrypted. My relationship with our B1 crew has given me vast exposure to engine systems as well as engine buildup, tears down, running, and airframe installation. I have recently spent the last two years in a supervisor role with a team of 4 - 7. I'm currently in the process of extending my skill set to include a B1 endorsement.Licences held on:B717-200 B2DHC8 Classic B2Challenger 604 B2General Aviation B2

Avionics LameSkytrans Airlines Mar 2010 - Feb 2011Cairns, AustraliaMy roles at Skytrans included line receipt and dispatch for our local fleet, with the occasional aircraft pushback.Hanger work mainly consisted of checks, more serous repairs and installations on our latest aircraft acquisitions. I was usually the only licensed electrician on the shift, so time and people resource skill were regularly required to co-ordinate the shifts requirements. I would also have apprentices working under me and providing on job training as well as handling log books and revision.During the absence of a shift supervisor the role would be passed on to myself. This usually consisted of meeting with management to plan the shifts requirements and assign resources where required. -
