Responsible for the rapid repair of injection moulding machines and assembly jigs as well as facility repairs. This role's repairs are largely to do with either hydraulic systems or electrical issues but also included mechanical, pneumatic, project and PM work. We are a direct supplier to Nissan meaning the industry is fast paced and requires fast repairs in most cases.

Managed day-to-day relevant activities on shift while repairing of machine to attain desired goals. Operated with diligence on pneumatic & hydraulic cylinders, proximity sensors, solenoid valves, fibre optic sensors, motors, bearings, and precise tooling. Created and implemented a database that monitors trends, OEE, stocks, TPM schedules, handover reports, and history reports and more. Oversaw maintenance of department to ensure maximum efficiency of the manufacturing process. Devised strategies for process improvement, while formulating documentation. In this role I was responsible for the sequence of brake and fuel clusters and delivering to line ready for the operators to fit to the vehicles. This role worked on a J.I.T formation meaning we had to manage times and be fully aware of when to deliver the parts without causing any line stoppages. Other responsibilities included 5S, quality, assembly work and documentation.

My duties included the sequencing of various parts, harnesses, seatbelts, servos, axels etc and delivering to line. Same as below, working to a J.I.T formation, 5S, quality. In this role I was also stand in team leader which doing this duty arose quite often due to absence.

During this role I was required to work line side in the Nissan Body Shop assembling and spot welding panels which made up the shells of the vehicles, working at speed also. I was also expected to do destruction tests to ensure welds were ‘Good Welds’ and cleaning spatter of the Jigs which were used to hold panels whilst welding. I spent approx 1 year in the body shop before moving to our company’s new factory where my job role involved the same duties.

During this role my duties involved leading of windows following different patterns, glazing windows, packing and wrapping windows, sending through a heat tunnel then palletising at the other end and FLT work.

Team leader in a mailing centre operating a Sitma poly wrap machine which coated yellow pages with a polythene cover and also inserted leaflets via a hopper. I was also responsible for machine repairs and organising work for operator during machine breakdowns.
