I’m Dave Atkinson, I have worked on the refuse bins for 13 years, but I’m doing what they call mini 3, it’s were the bin wagon can’t get & I really enjoy it & meet some great people on the round. I have studied for 6.5 years about mental health & wellbeing & have been put on Kevin O Keefes team now & it’s an absolute honour. I’m very passionate about mental health & wellbeing.. People with mental health issues I’m here to listen & help an to get people back on track & gettin extra help through the council, lookin after employees is a big part of my job to Mek sure they have the right mindset & back to them old selves again. Also Doing the job on mini3 & the people I meet have issues & talk to them an give them great advice & it’s nice when they greet you & update on our there outside life is gettin on.. I love my job at DMBC & luv helpin people in the work place & outside the work place aswell.. Myself was in a bad place 7 years ago & by having the right help as helped me get back on track & as encouraged me more to push mental health an to understand people how they feel.. Anyone who suffers with mental health issues I’m here to help you & everything is private & confidential..
