I’m a transportation area manager for Amazon primarily working out of LEX2. I work with a team of associates that drive day cabs, hostlers, and man guard shacks in order to check in and out third party drivers. I also schedule employee hours, implement and enforce DOT regulations and policies, and help remove any barriers that my employees face.In college I studied music education, where I gained soft skills in project and time management as well as learning how to manage and motivate people, young and old, effectively. I also worked as a technician assistant in our college IT department, where I gained hard skills with maintaining both Mac and PC computer labs/MDM software, troubleshooting staff technology issues, and managing/deploying raspberry Pis for digital signage across campus. Over the past two summers, I spent time instructing conical brass instrumentalists and giving private lessons with Salvation Army music conservatories.I am a recent graduate of Asbury University, a small private college half an hour away from Lexington, Kentucky, with a B.S. in integrated music.
