A seasoned professional with over 16 years of experience as a business owner, entrepreneur, and trailblazer, I graduated from Santa Teresa High School in 2002 and began my career early, balancing multiple jobs while still in school. Starting at Sonic and Whataburger, I developed a strong work ethic, later transitioning to Circuit City, where I gained hands-on skills in car audio sales and installations.At 21, I joined Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino, where I managed significant cash flows, including $2M in the money room and paid out jackpots as a floor person. My passion for customer service and cash management grew during my time in the High Rollers Club, connecting with influential clients.Before entering the banking sector, I worked at UPS and Pep Boys, further developing business relationships. My professional career took off at Wells Fargo, where I held various roles, including Teller, pPersonal and Business Banker, and Floating Manager, covering multiple branches and gaining invaluable leadership skills. I also earned certifications, such as NMLS Mortgage Certification, and completed various Diversity & Inclusion courses 1-3, along with coaching on the spot and on the moment intensive trainings funded by Wells Fargo.During COVID, I joined Grand Canyon University to pursue my degree in Business Management, which I completed in February 2024. I am currently pursuing an MBA in Business Administration with an expected graduation date of October 2025.I now apply all these skills at the New Mexico Small Business Development Center (NMSBDC) under New Mexico State University, where I support local businesses in Doña Ana and Sierra Counties, with a focus on the southern region. I also serve on a recently created AI team tasked with developing GPT solutions for our clients and SBDC centers.In my first year at NMSBDC, I was honored to be elected to the prestigious 40 Under 40 list for America’s Small Business Development Centers. This recognition was celebrated at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee, and I was further acknowledged by Senator Raymundo Lara and the New Mexico Caucus at the New Mexico Capitol.In addition, I am a freelancer highly involved in the community, volunteering at food dispensaries and Habitat for Humanity in Las Cruces. I proudly serve my community as a Planning and Zoning Committee member and Chairman for Parks and Recreation in Sunland Park, New Mexico.
