Leading the commercial finance function I report to the Finance Director and provide daily support to the executive directors and the commercial teams. My team informs sales and marketing strategy and NPD launches. I have sole responsibility for compiling the annual financial budget and quarterly forecasts. I am the principal finance contact for our US parent company and responsible for reporting and forecasting all aspects of domestic, export and inter-company performance on a monthly basis.

Covering all elements of financial control and commercial decision-making I provided day-to-day financial support, challenge and insight to the Business Unit (BU) management team. I took ownership for the integrity and timeliness of reporting of all relevant financial performance to the BU. I supported the delivery of key trading projects such as joint business planning, budgeting & forecasting, business initiatives and reporting improvement initiatives.

A key member of the HR, Finance & Corporate finance team whose primary responsibility is management accounting for over 70 central cost centres (over £200m per annum), as well as providing the business with high quality performance analysis, budgets and forecasts.

With sole income statement and balance sheet ownership, I was responsible for preparing financial and management accounts for UK and offshore operations of Europe’s leading professional education provider.
