The Bookworm Design Group LLC was created to challenge myself as a visual artist and business leader. Since opening the bsuiness we have succesfully increased revenue, expanded our client base, and recruited reliable talented designers. This has allowed us to secure government contracts, collaborate with the Virginia House of Delegates and the Governor of Virginia, and most importantly, support small minority-owned businesses. Our primary focus is understanding our client's needs, prioritizing objectives, and delivering top-tier work, from User Interfaces to providing promotional materials. My role as owner and designer is to consult with clients to develop their ideas into tangible goals, delegate tasks, provide quality assurance, ensure the projects are completed on time and to satisfaction.

Directing, filming, and editing weekly informative commercials for base personnel and service members was my primary duty while working with The 633 Force Support Squadron. I designed custom web advertisements, posters, and brochures based on mission-driven objectives for Langley AFB. I worked with video production equipment and Adobe Creative Cloud especially with Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere. I was able to help improved local event turnout by using inclusive methods to represent the diversity of our service members.

The owner of Crazy Tee's recruited me to help launch the newly founded company into the customizable fashion industry. I translated company goals into ad campaigns, established a social media presence through engaging content creation, and being aware of fast fashion trends. I managed our e-commerce, SEO, and website interface and created custom designs for customers. During my time with Crazy Tee’s we were able to expand into a new building hire more employees and gain elite corporate clientele. We still collaborate to create new trendy designs with fashion.

Our three man team transitioned from a garage print shop to a profitable brick-and-mortar custom print business. I designed and produced all promotional advertising media using Adobe Creative Suite, Wordpress, UI/UX, HTML/CSS, and various desktop publishing software. Additionally, I created all internal company documents for training, human resources, advertising, and employee recruitment. I built an online presence with website design, social media strategies, and search engine optimization. We maintained a smooth and steady flow of business by consistently staying ahead of deadlines through appropriate planning and task delegation.This was the best work experience of my life.

Fast-paced environment assisting customers with travel needs, such as answering inquiries, ticketing, checking-in passengers, and boarding flights. I was dedicated to making the mundane airport check-in experience the beginning of your journey not just another speed bump interaction. After the Marine Corps, I rented a retail spot and began my journey into entrepreneurship creating infographics, brochures, posters, flyers, newsletters, publications, logos, visual aids, music videos, and promotional media for anyone who needed it allowing me to keep the lights on. Working at a frenzied pace with varied clientele helped me mature in business and as an artist. I had to use my creative talents and management skills to prioritize projects to accomplish tasks efficiently, optimizing time and resources.
