• Key person in the 5-year strategic planning for Uganda Breweries Ltd towards £150m Net Revenue target (20% CAGR over 4 years versus 12% previous 4 years).• Grew operating margin from 20% to 23% in 2 years with Net Revenue growing 11% and Trading Profit 45% through reduced Cost of Goods Sold down 5% and move to Local Raw Materials (LRM) to allow for increased investment behind Advertising & Promotions by +14% and increased investment in Sales team by +16%. • Grew Trading Profit/Cash conversion ratio from 36% to 70% over the period with operating cash flow growing from £6m to £13m despite Capex investment.• Re-prioritized spend to allow the business fully advertise 3 premium brands rather than one leading to all 3 brands having sustained double digit annual growth.• Supported the MD in defining the optimal and relevant organization structure to reduce support structures and up-weight frontline sales and marketing competitiveness.• In collaboration with Corporate Relations Director, successfully engaged government and parliament for reasonable excise regime both in beer and spirits.• Grew the finance team with 5 promotions within the finance team, sent 4 secondments to Africa Business Services Centre and reintegrated 2 returnees after secondment.

Hubbed in Nairobi Kenya and responsible for markets of Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, East DRC and exports to international markets including US, Canada, UK, Australia, UAE, e.tc.• Grew operating margin from 35% to 49% in 1 year with NSV growing 31% and Trading Profit by 80% through reduced Cost of Goods Sold down 3% with sourcing changes and renegotiating freight costs to allow for increased investment behind Advertising up 100% and Sales force up 68%.• Supported the GM to step change the management of the joint venture agreement with JV partners in the Great Lakes to deliver increased volume growth and strengthening of brand equity of Guinness. • Collaborated with EABL tax team to review fiscal efficiency of cross border transactions and recommended changes towards eliminating tax risks and improving margins.• Collaborated with the Group strategy to build market specific business strategies to; Accelerate trajectory to double NSV along with tripling profit in 5 years by establishing a robust and profitable Route-To-Market along with market entry strategy for South Sudan and the Great Lakes Region. • Championed the move to business partner engagement through annual distributor conferences and key supplier conferences across Rwanda, Burundi, D.R.C and South Sudan. • Derived the appropriate tax and tariff strategy for each market (South Sudan, Rwanda and Burundi) and lobbying the Governments to implement equitable tax and tariff regimes.

• Grew Trading Profit of BATU Agri-business from $2.5m to $8.5m in a year through continued cost optimizations in the value chain and also grew Cigarette profit from $3.5m to $8m through trade margin optimization, controlled excise increases and addressing illicit trade challenges. • Collaborated with the MD on “Year 1” strategy to return to profitability and 5-year strategy to improve crop yields for sustainable value growth.• Transformed the risk and controls management framework with regular, candid and actionable reviews at management meetings and at Board Audit Committee level leading to markedly improved control environment as recognized by the external auditors.• Lobbied the Government for lower than inflation tax increases year on year to manage given the specific tax regime on cigarettes in Uganda.• Moved all back-office transactions in finance into BASS AME shared services (British American Tobacco shared Services – Africa & Middle East).
