For the last 5 years, I led teams of 7-9 people in applied geophysical research covering such diverse topics as induced seismicity, rock physics, reservoir properties from seismic, seismic data analysis, VSPs, velocity modeling, and fiber optics. From April 2018 to October 2020, my team was in charge of seismic data analysis, managing high performance computing needed for internal seismic processing, velocity modeling, and seismic data management. Contributed to strategies for transformation to the cloud for seismic data processing and storage. Led team that explored options for seismic processing platform and made recommendations for future internal seismic processing. Developed strategies for application of fiber optic sensing in geophysics for onshore and offshore applications. Championed efforts across geophysics and engineering groups to further usage. Developed new workflow for updating velocity models with horizontal well information. Budget responsibilities were between $4-9MM for research projects and $8-9MM for baseline services projects.Previous teams I led from 2014-2018 were involved with reservoir properties from seismic, velocity modeling, ray tracing, rock physics, and induced seismicity. Led cross-functional team that wrote first Chevron guidelines for induced seismicity. Company representative for SEG SEAM project (industry consortium) on pore pressure prediction. Earth Science representative on internal innovation project funding team that gave starter funding to new research ideas. Responsible for budgets of $5-6MM in research funding and $1-2MM in baseline services.I served as the Project Manager for the DWEP Seismic Imaging Challenge Project from 2010-2013, a cross-company project between research and Chevron Gulf of Mexico Exploration to advance seismic imaging research oriented for exploration projects.
