CurrentEngineering Team Leader and Client facing Project Manager / Civil Engineer responsible for the delivery of Flood Risk Management and water engineering projects for both public and private sector clients.Role & Contributions• Responsibility for leading the delivery of a broad portfolio of flood risk management projects encompassing fluvial, tidal, surface water and drainage issues.• Management responsibility, leading a team of flood risk management engineers. Provides management and technical direction and mentors team throughout the whole project lifecycle.• Leads teams in preparing Flood Risk Assessments at both the Strategic and local development levels through the application of the National Planning Policy Framework.• Leads in the delivery of scheme business case appraisals and the application of Five Case Business Approval Model. Accredited Five Case Business Model Practitioner. • Provides whole project lifecycle civil engineering technical inputs to provide (and guide others to provide) economic, safe and environmentally sustainable solutions. • Highly experienced in delivering Flood Risk Management projects for Environment Agency, Local Authorities and other Risk Management Authorities. Significant project experience delivering under Environment Agency and Local Authority Framework Agreements.• Provides flood risk advice and applies current guidance and statutory legislation to justify funding approval.• Executes project governance including scope development, budget allocation, contract administration, change management and progress reporting.• Delegated Engineer mentoring graduate staff and supporting them to achieve Professional Accreditation.• Bid Manager for competitive tender submissions resulting in award of significant project commissions.• Sound health and safety knowledge. Incorporated Member of the Association of Project Safety.
