Responsible for all distribution center activities – from receiving and storing to the shipping of goods. Also in charge of planning operations and activities, with the company's budget in mind. Monitors inventory levels to manage expenses, minimize loss, and maximize revenue. Responsible for evaluating freight services, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with chosen vendors. Review the monthly performance in collaboration with other management team leaders to determine where improvements can be made. Organization of warehousing and inventory. Keeping employees and warehouse compliant with OSHA and DOT, 6S, Lean. Keeping all records and weekly meetings updated in the system for management in WMS. Help management train new employees as well help current employees with training of new warehouse procedures as well as new vendor requirements. Foreign Trade Zone management. Ensure all rules and regulations are in place and followed as well as all documentation current for review upon request.

Orient new team members (e.g. explain work hours, procedures, use of equipment etc) to familiarize them with work surroundings. Explain job expectations and procedures to ensure that new team members understand their respective duties. Coach and develop the job-related skills of team members to facilitate improvements in their job performance. Maintain good relationships with customers by meeting and exceeding their expectations.
