Wakefield Associates is a small shopping Center Developer who is partnered with Kimco.I was brought on during the entitlement process for a 56-acre parcel. That was to be a Wal-Mart Center with 400,000 sf of retail with Junior anchors. I was the Developer Representative for Town Council and Land Use Review Board Meetings. Key player in proposed Shopping Center design and layout of over 400,000 square foot of retail space inline and on parcels. Project was canceled after the neighbors sued the Town and the major tenant backed out.Responsible for pre-construction process including budget preparation, plan review for constructibility and permitting process. Managed scheduling and progress milestones. Construction Manager for the Construction of Pyramid Village Shopping Center in Greensboro, NC. Opened the first Phase in 2006. Project total $18M.Construction Manager for slab on grade block and mortar construction multi-tenant out-parcel buildings at Wakefield Commons in Wake Forest ($1.2M) and Midway Plantation in Knightdale ($1.1M).Responsible for contract and milestone management and reporting. Reviewed and approved contractor pay applications verifying contract compliance and progress.Generated budgets for proposed small and large scale projects based on scope and proforma.
