Managed remote test team in all test efforts for a mutual provider of medical professional liability insurance. Test efforts crossed over multiple applications, from internally developed custom applications to implementations of Salesforce, Workday, Qlik reports and a multi-year migration from a legacy AS400-based insurance policy management system to a new Java-based solution featuring multiple integrations. Team consisted of manual test analysts and two SDETs. Responsibilities included coordinating teams from rural and offshore QA, onsite and offshore developers, IT engineers and business experts to test end-to-end solutions, migrating of test team from waterfall to Scrum methodology, sprint planning, test estimates, coordination of UAT and daily reporting of test status and results. Provided QA consulting and coordination of offsite QA resources in testing a complete rewrite of the CNN.com website, in the process rescuing a stalling consulting engagement by building rapport and trust with the client. Moving to a responsive site involved testing across dozens of mobile devices and browser platforms. Utilized Vanamco Ghostlab to test multiple devices simultaneously. Environment was Java Spring with a Couch database. Testing included multiple integrated systems, including a proprietary media management platform as well as a host of web services and advertising feeds. Managed the test efforts of offsite QA resources for both manual and automation tests.

Directed Quality Assurance efforts for Enterprise Sales division. Coordinated test activities for multiple projects of a team distributed between local, out of state and international locations. Provided test estimates for all test efforts, including cost and resources. Created and delivered daily detailed reporting of test status and results. Projects include integrating a third party application with existing sales systems using single sign-on as well as a multi-year project to replace numerous legacy sales systems with a Salesforce based system. Test environments included Salesforce, Teradata and Oracle databases, ATP web services and Business Objects reports. Projects included a web based booking site with an administrative site, a complex sunsetting project that included dozens of ETL workflows, message queues, Java-based components and Business Objects reporting, a web service monitoring application, a reporting portal and a mobile application that allows IHG to push customized offers to guests and for the hotel guest to be able to view and redeem these offers.
