Petrophysicist in an interdisciplinary team responsible for appraisal, development, and exploration of nine carbonate and clastic reservoirs in Block-62, Oman. Performed initial evaluation and co-wrote & submitted the reservoir appraisal document to partners and the Oman Oil Ministry. Planned, drilled and evaluated five data collection/appraisal wells and one horizontal production well. Designed core and well-log data acquisition programs to provide critical data in specific areas. Integrated interpretation of logs and well-bore images obtained from a planned trajectory horizontal wellbore, which when combined with well-test results confirmed that open fractures were the dominant production mechanism in this reservoir. Developed a detailed, multi-reservoir carbonate facies model that was used to trigger specific facies-based permeability and saturation-height models. The facies, permeability, and Sw-h model were shown to accurately reproduce geologic descriptions, core analysis results and well test results. Exported petrophysical models and data then formed the basis for Petrel geologic and Eclipse simulation models.

Solely responsible for all petrophysical support for one major field (300 plus wells) and approximately 10 smaller fields (5 to 30 wells each) in northern Oman. Work daily within two reservoir management teams to identify drilling opportunities, generate drilling and evaluation plans for new wells, and monitor ongoing operations activity for five rigs. Provide real-time geosteering input for several horizontal-well development programs (50 plus wells per year total). Generate all petrophysical evaluations of open-hole logs/core obtained in all development, delineation and exploration wells for these assets. Along with our surveillance team, responsible for the execution and evaluation of the cased-hole and production-logging programs, which are used to identify and remediate production & injection issues in both vertical and horizontal wells. Responsible for developing porosity, saturation-height and permeability models in multiple fields/reservoirs by integrating the available log, core, wireline formation tester, and production data. These petrophysical models are used to help estimate reservoir isolation/continuity and free-water-level and are critical inputs into geological and simulation models that the reservoir team uses to develop and maintain these fields.

Petrophysicist responsible for providing integrated interpretations for a wide range of international and domestic development and exploration efforts. Principal support areas included the Middle East, South America, Far East, GOM, and West Africa. Open-Hole, Cased-Hole, and LWD evaluation expertise. Horizontal well and low resistivity pay interpretation. Expertise in special analyses including core evaluation, capillary pressure evaluation, NMR interpretation, wireline formation tester interpretation, among others. Extensive image log interpretation expertise. Team Lead role in standardizing Oxy petrophysical data output. Mentor junior petrophysical staff members.
