Accountable for leading growth, affordability, quality, service integration and community responsiveness. Led four CEOs in three hospitals and a medical foundation with 330 providers. Led relationship development and built trust with physician group president and leadership and hospitals leadership and teams. Developed succession pipeline, insured development of operations, clinical and physician leadership resulting in retention of long tenured leadership team across the Region.

Reporting to the service area Board of Directors and Regional Executive Officer of Sutter Health, accountable for leading growth, affordability and improving patient experience. Led CEOs in three acute care hospitals licensed for 553 beds, 2900 FTEs, 24,500 annual admissions and combined operating budget of $700 million. Led growth of service lines and total beds across the Service Area to meet increasing community needs resulting in 15 percent growth in admissions and addition of 112 acute care beds. Planned and built $180 million patient tower at Memorial Medical Center; opened in 2007.

Memorial Hospitals Association was a community based not-for-profit of two hospitals in separate communities. One hospital was licensed for acute and skilled nursing beds; total of 397 acute and 48 skilled nursing beds.Responsible for long range strategy, planning, operations and financial performance of the Association. Accountable for a focus on community health and well-being. Reported to the Association Board of Directors. Led the strategic decision and negotiations to affiliate with Sutter Health in 1996. Obtained approval through influencing medical staff, employees, the Association Board of Directors and ultimately approved by corporate voting members.
