My journey started in the year 1999, when I owned my first business in Trinidad and Tobago. Having grown up in Canada, running an internet cafe in the Caribbean just before Y2K was one of the most challenging experiences I have had to-date.The best thing was that my experiences in 1999 set me up for 2015. When my business in Trinidad failed after two years of operating, I vowed that the next business I owned would be a success. Having had the opportunity to grow, work, learn and pursue the things I was good at via my employed career, in 2015 I made the decision to buy a small business in South Manchester.This little convenience store was the beginning of a journey that resulted in the opening of a number of further businesses.Having had failure as my friend and success being as evasive as a great bottle of wine, one thing that is certain, the businesses are still going. We have lost a few businesses on the way. The pandemic proved to be an opportunity and not a disaster for us. We we were challenged to survive, well, we chose to GROW. It was difficult, but we expanded our teams and businesses and we refined our processes. At this time growth was a challenging concept for anyone to consider. This was clear from that faithful March during lockdown -1 in Britain.Well, the pandemic is now behind us and our future is ahead of us.
