Knowledgeable in high voltage transmission line design up to 230 kV. Experienced in transmission line design, feasibility studies, and preparation of bill of materials. Familiar with many aspects of the electrical and mechanical components of transmission lines including studies of Electric and Magnetic Field (ELF & EMF) analysis and overhead fiber optic ground wire systems. Created structure details for non-standard pole designs using AutoCAD. Produced and revised plan and profile views of 115 and 230 kV power lines. Analyzed soil boring data to determine bearing capacity for pole embedment and caisson length for foundation designs. Determined drainage basins used to design culverts under construction access roads. Utilized the Rational Method to sized culverts to handle 100 year flood events. Reviewed and stamped drawings that were submitted to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in association with transmission line construction. Analyzed and calculated different designs for cathodic proection of steel foundations.
