Working in a medical instrumentation environment involving manufacturing, engineering, and design with the following responsibilities:-Coordinate with internal resources including Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain Management for the smooth transition of new equipment, products, and processes into production.-Produce production layout plans and throughput analysis.-Develop, review, and evaluate complex manufacturing processes and methods to include run-times and bills-of-material, and initiate actions for adaptations or modifications to machinery that will reduce the cost of products or improve product performance, quality, delivery, with particular regard for Lean Manufacturing.-Coordinate Lean Manufacturing project efforts.-Identify needs and develop manufacturing jigs, tools, fixtures, and methods.-Analyze engineering change orders for effect on product producibility, test equipment requirements, work instructions, and test procedures.-Review and disposition of non-conforming material instituting preventative measures to eliminate or minimize recurrence.

-Manage, design, implement, install, test, and calibrate automated equipment and machinery to improve production efficiency and safety. This includes the selection and design of control systems and software, mechanical and electro-mechanical components, and measurement control and safety devices. Also responsible for writing and programming code, developing system documentation, training and maintenance documentation, and performing a variety of tests to ensure system safety and functionality. Provide the necessary technical support for post-installation troubleshooting until the system is functioning safely and effectively according to specifications.-Stay up to date on cutting edge technology, to include but not limited to, manufacturing processes and equipment advances. Share knowledge and train Manufacturing Engineers to ensure use of manufacturing processes and machine methodology to support production activities.-Promote, train, and drive the use of lean manufacturing methods to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs. Establish emphasis and ensure due diligence in the research and development of Return on Investment (ROI) reports for equipment acquisition justification.-Act as the gate keeper for process standardization and maintenance of best practices. Steadfast in focus to ensure processes yield product which meets cost and quality expectations, with reliability and consistency.
