Supervisory Special Agent
CurrentSenior/Supervisory Special Agent (Team Chief) responsible for providing meaningful and timely guidance, training, and mentorship to case agents. Interprets policies, procedures, and instructions from higher headquarters on investigative matters and operations. Conducts operational oversight reviews to ensure compliance with existing laws, rules, and regulations governing investigative and administrative laws, and provides necessary training.Leads and manages a multi-disciplinary team comprised of five Special Agents. Plans, develops strategies, and executes the investigation of complex felony investigations independently. Coordinates investigations and information sharing with other criminal investigators and worldwide law enforcement agencies. Leads and conducts complex and difficult criminal investigations that may involve senior members of the Department of Defense.Plans and develops strategies for the investigation of and training in sensitive and complex felony crimes with an Army nexus. Investigates and oversees the gathering and development of extremely sensitive evidence, technical and/or administrative facts, and criminal intelligence relating to all phases of investigations. Receives, reviews, and interprets vital criminal intelligence to plan and conduct large scale raids or searches, and conducts undercover or surveillance operations. Executes search warrants, Federal Grand Jury and DoD Inspector General Subpoenas.Reviews and prepares interim or final investigative reports and crime prevention surveys detailing results of investigative activity, as well as prepares reports identifying cause or causes and expert recommendations. Reviews and evaluates case reports to ensure investigative facts are accurate, and conducts inspections of cases for thoroughness and quality work. Provides in-progress reports and formal briefings to senior management officials on investigations.
