Manage and have overall responsibility for all aspects of the Operational Support required in the refurbishment, fitting out, installation, relocation of buildings to meet customer requirements ensuring effective cost control, meeting or improving upon planned costs and working within agreed timescales. Support HSE Business partner and have a lead role for all aspects of Health and Safety within the region. Area of scope is predominately Dundee – Fort William and north of these locations.Key Role Accountabilities;• Coach, lead, develop and motivate operations team in the area.• Oversee recruitment, training, performance management and monthly reviews of employees.• Ensure sufficient labour resource is allocated to deliver projects in accordance with timescales and costs.• Control all costs associated with the fitting out and installation of company product and services so that agreed budget levels and margins are achieved.• Ensure quality systems and procedures are reviewed and continuously improved to support the needs of the business.• Promote a positive health and safety culture by taking a management responsibility for ensuring safe working.• Produce lift plans for craning activities in line with CPCS appointed person qualification.

Manage the delivery of projects, ensuring all works are carried out safely, whilst providing effective programme and cost control at all times. Understand Building regulations and standards to develop and control the activities of the Design, Estimating and Draughting Function of the Hire Department. Support Business Managers in securing profitable business by offering support and advice in innovative designs and estimates.Key Role Accountabilities;• Ensure that all Projects are delivered in accordance with all appropriate H&S and CDM regulations and good practice• Manage project installations and dismantles ensuring that projects are completed within planned costs and agreed timescales• Liaise with customers following the award of a contract, or termination notice, including such matters as site access, foundations, clarification of building requirements and specification, H & S issues and responsibilities for delivery / removal programme• Produce method statements, risk assessments, drawings and delivery schedules on a project and task specific basis• Ensure that the necessary resources, including labour allocation, materials and all sub-contract requirements, are in place and managed to ensure the agreed handover date is achieved whilst working within budgeted costs• Regularly review and analyse allocated projects for spend against planned costs and progress against programme• Lead localised team of both site and yard supervisors, delegating work load on a daily basis and conduct formal monthly reviews• Liaise with Sub-Contractors and Service Teams where appropriate to arrange works within an agreed timescale• Ensure compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and /or Company procedure relating to Health and Safety• Produce lift plans for craning activities in line with CPCS appointed person qualification

Successfully co-ordinate the delivery of temporary accommodation projects from enquiry through to handover. Key responsibilities; Estimating, quoting, designing layouts, programming, arranging delivery and installation, Planning and Building Warrant applications, utility connections, RAMS / lift plans. Examples of projects I have overseen include the temporary broadcasting centre for the Commonwealth Games at the SECC in Glasgow.
