BP Australia owns and operates 225 retail service stations throughout Australia. BP also provides a variety of fuels and lubricants directly to commercial customers, from the mining industry to road transport, rail, marine and construction, and also has interests in Exploration, Refining, Supply and Logistics. It is part of the global BP Group, based in the UK.This role assumes full control of all BP’s Australian retail operations activities incorporating 225 outlets and 1600 staff, in a highly competitive marketplace, with turnover of over $2 billion paAchievements include;• Strong annual profit growth despite the introduction of supermarkets into the petrol business.• Implemention of the successful launch of BP’s newest Convenience offer– Wild Bean Cafe, into selected BP Retail outlets. At the time considered to be the latest innovation within the Industry.• Led a business turnaround to successfully implement BP Australia’s introduction into Retail Company management.

This role is accountable for the development of, and profitable, safe and efficient operation of, all of BP Australia’s Franchise operations. The scale of the role was 200+ retail outlets, with 22 key multi site franchisees across Australia. Turnover was c. $200 million pa, with a capital spend of $50 million pa.Achievements include:• Development and implemention of a Franchise strategy to consolidate all of BP’s retail service stations under 1 consistent method of operation, optimising standards and profitability. • Recruitment of all Franchisees and ongoing management of key Franchisee relationships• Recruitment of BP support team and ongoing motivation and management of a high performing unit.• Achieved record profits for the BP's retail business. Growth of 35% versus previous business model.
