As a remote Colonial employee, I am responsible for the preventative maintenance and repairs for approx. 154 tank wagon fuel trucks, tanks and service vehicles keeping them legal and in optimal performance.⦁ Work with outside vendors, mobile company mechanics, company shops, and terminal managers to schedule DOT's, maintenance, tank inspections, crane inspections and repairs on all company tank wagons ⦁ Set up timely repairs at our terminals as well as breakdowns out on the road⦁ Monitor and resolve all DVIR write ups communicated through telematics and document repairs⦁ Review estimates for repairs and either approve or negoiate the pricing with the vendors⦁ Identify parts still under warranty and make sure cost were covered or reimbursed ⦁ Create work orders and purchase orders for all repairs, inspections, parts and issue them to the vendors⦁ Contact vendors for invoices when needed to ensure promt data entry and payment ⦁ Ensure digital records are uploaded for all inspections into Colonials systems ⦁ Search for new vendors, particualry in new markets or ones that are in need of more ⦁ Communicate and keep in contact through phone calls, emails and teams meetings
