As a Project Officer for the Clarence City Council assets management/engineering department I was required to plan and install a series of water sensitive urban design (WSUD) Projects and revegetation stages, through various sections of the municipality rivulets over 20 months.This project was funded by federal and local governments (Clean waterways grant and was supervised by the Derwent estuary program and Department of primary industries, Parks, Water and Environment) and as such I was required to liaise with officers at all levels from the various departments as well as managing their expectations. Expectation management was achieved via regular reporting, face to face meetings and on-site visits.A key aspect of this role was that I was required to determine and manage for each selected site either in conjunction with other team members or by myself the design, procurement, environmental impact, cost and safe passage of stormwater through residential /urban areas whilst maintaining workplace safety to those staff in my charge. My responsibilities included managing and training a local land care groups along with Conservation Australia volunteers. The latter provided the revegetation team at the Kangaroo bay rivulet and Risdon Brook Park dam.Skills and Knowledge  Interpretation of survey data. Apply knowledge of environmental research.  Scheduling of materials, including lead times. Maintenance scheduling of works. Providing efficient communication’s between relevant departments including stake holders. Providing project reports and analysis to all parties and review of feedback. Implement standard operating procedures for production operations.  Dispute resolution. Monitor and review standards of products. Determine and implement improvements to the production process.
