Core experience includes federal and state tax compliance, tax mergers and acquisitions, tax and accounting financial reporting, tax defense and research.As Associate Tax Director at Georgia Gulf, Axiall, my primary responsibilities included financial income tax reporting. My most notable accomplishment was converting tax reporting from a manual spreadsheet system to a one source, all-inclusive software reporting system. This work effort helped remedy a material weakness deficiency for tax reporting.I also spent fifteen years at Georgia Pacific as a Senior Tax Manager where my responsibilities included filing and defending the federal consolidated corporate income tax return. Major areas of responsibility included LIFO inventories, minimum tax and fixed assets, employee stock options, and maintaining all tax attributes such as permanent and deferred differences.
