I am a Principal with Kacvinsky Daisak Bluni PLLC, concentrating on patent matters. My practice focuses on patent portfolio strategic development, management and evaluation, patent prosecution, patent landscape and clearance studies, and patent litigation support. My technical background gives me expertise in a range of fields, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, bioengineering, polymer chemistry, electrochemistry, semiconductor processing and analysis, nanotechnology, and industrial chemicals.Prior to joining Kacvinsky Daisak Bluni PLLC, I was a partner at Mayer & Williams PC, an intellectual property boutique located in Westfield, NJ. I began my law career with the intellectual property law firm of Kenyon & Kenyon. In my career, I have prepared and prosecuted more than 300 patent application families for major manufacturers of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, semiconductors, semiconductor processing equipment and organic light emitting diodes. I have also overseen numerous clearance studies and drafted many opinions for clients introducing new products.I earned my JD at the Georgetown University Law Center. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, I have PhD and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia, with research topics in the areas of semiconductors and bioengineering, respectively, and I have a BS degree in Chemistry from Roanoke College. My research has been published in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers Journal, Biotechnology and Bioengineering, and the Journal of the Electrochemical Society. I am a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and am admitted to practice law in Virginia and Washington, DC.
