Kwangu Kwako is a social enterprise based in Nairobi, Kenya. We build safe, secure and affordable housing in informal settlements made from precast concrete panels.Developed and prototyped a new product design that resulted in 6% manufacturing cost savings. Built an inventory system that allowing for more effective tracking of raw material use and product stock through procurement, manufacturing and sales.Initiated contact with 5 potential partners and donors, opening the door to over $500K of potential funding. Developed and refined company elevator pitch and deck and established a quarterly Kwangu Kwako newsletter.

Worked with Professor Eric Miller of University of Toronto to update historic transportation network models of Greater Toronto Area to be used for future transportation planning research.Obtained data on transit use, road changes, travel mode choice and population changes from transit agencies and government organizations to model traffic congestion, created a physical and digital archive of road maps and transit schedules of Golden Horse Shoe Area for use in future traffic and transit models and used a combination of ArcGIS, Excel Programming, and EMME software to model road and transit networks.
