David began his career as an intern at TVA and was hired in 1991 as a hydrologist working in TVA’s Flood Protection Branch. He later moved into TVA’s Clean Water Initiative as a project manager on streambank erosion and habitat improvement projects. He served as a lead engineer in TVA’s River Forecast Center, as the Program Manager for TVA’s tailwater aeration program and on the Quality Assurance and Safety Team for Raccoon Mountain Unit 1 runner replacement.David has been involved in nearly every aspect of water resource engineering and management. He has held several management positions in River Operations, including Plant Manager for the Cherokee Plant Group, Manager of the River Forecasting Center, General Manager for Dam Safety Governance, and TVA’s Dam Safety Officer.
