I began my career with Mutual Life of Canada. (Mutual Life changed its name to Clarica before becoming part of Sun Life Financial in 2000). I began by building my practice in the family market, but in 1981 my focus changed to providing group benefit programs for small business. In 1982 I attained my Chartered Life Underwriter designation in order to provide a higher level of knowledge and expertise for the clients that our company serves. I have always believed that continuing education has to be the base of any organization that looks to provide proper financial planning for its clients in our industry.Since 1981 I have been a proud member of the Million Dollar Round Table, MDRT is a global, independent association of the world's leading life insurance and financial services professionals from more than 500 companies in 70 nations and territories. MDRT members demonstrate exceptional professional knowledge, strict ethical conduct and outstanding client service.As part of my business practice I have been involved in providing consulting services as well as marketing expertise to several associations and organizations in both the United States and Canada.
