My name is David Breuer, and I am currently a full-time student at Missouri of Science and Technology. I am studying to become an Engineer. I have years of experience in automotive mechanics, as I have owned and worked on my own cars for years. I drag race my 1972 Dodge Dart and competed in Ranken's High School Drag Racing Series for three years, placing top 4 twice, and placing first in 2022. I also have 2 years of summer intern experience as a Machinist for Gateway Metalizing. I worked with several CNC machines including HAAS mills, MAZAK lathes, as well as other manual mills, lathes, plasma cutters, grinders, drill presses, and many other machines within the shop. Not only have I worked as a machinist, but I was also one of the lead operators for our flame spray operation. We would undercut the product given in order to have a completely flat surface, then flame spray a certain metal depending on the customer and the hardness level they wanted to bring the product back to original size, with a stronger outer coating. This not only fixed the product, but also improved the durability and life span of the product at hand.
