Following a long, successful, but frequently unfulfilling corporate career, I broke free in 2008 and came to Cornwall to tread a different path to personal and business contentment. Following the guidance of Charles Handy, whose wisdom I first encountered at London Business School, I have now built my own portfolio career of business ventures. Pleasing myself, my family and my customers has proven to be a potent formula and we now have a successful photography business, a beautiful holiday rental home, a guided walking tours operation, and I still find time for some consultancy and coaching with local firms who need strategic guidance.In 2014 I accepted an invitation to become a Director and full partner of an exciting start-up called ActorBank. We were finalists of the Ignite 2014 Business competition for start-ups and high growth businesses in Cornwall, and have developed a unique approach to improving communications skills within organisations. In January of 2017 I decided that the demands of the business were disrupting the balance I came to Cornwall to achieve and have now relinquished my position and passed over sole control to my business partner, Sarah Lincoln.
