CurrentAfter 5 years managing one of the largest estate agencies in Cumbria, it was time for me to follow my own path. I have worked in the industry for almost 20 years, working for both corporate and independent estate agencies. For the last five years I’ve been working locally for PF&K as head of estate agency and executive director, developing the company offering and helping them expand.Over the last few years I’ve noticed estate agency changing shape faster than ever. The introduction of new technologies and smarter ways to sell has seen some of the more traditional agencies start to struggle. For that very reason I started David Britton Estates. I want to ensure that I am at the forefront of estate agency and offering the customer the best possible service available.The first important move was get away from the high street. Town centre offices are expensive and the costs invariably get passed onto the customer. Next was technology, the majority of house buyers view online so I wanted to make my online offering as strong as possible. We provide options that revolutionise the online experience, from fully immersive walk-throughs (think google street view but for property) to CGI and aerial photography. Finally I wanted to offer complete transparency and one to one service, introducing sensible fees and director level contact with every customer.
