Developed and implemented per-procedure surgical Instrument management programs where new instrumentation was placed on site to replace outdated instrumentation and disposables, as well as, providing personnel to manage sterile processing and surgeon support. Multiple laparoscopic instrument programs were created and implemented. These programs were expanded to include the management of optics such as rigid and/or flexible laparoscopes, hysteroscopes, cystocscopes and ureteroscopes. Also developed, was the provision and operation of a 100 watt Lumenis holmium/Yag laser service for Urologic, General and GYN procedures. This equipment was primarily utilized for prostatectomies, bladder stones and bladder strictures. This program also included the provision of disposables, such as, laser fibers and handles. A mobile imaging service was created for the placement of stage 1 Medtronic Insterstim anti-incontinence electrode system that offered a lead-lined mobile unit in conjunction with regional Medtronic urology representatives. This mobile procedure room offered an X ray table, OEC 9400 C-arm and all disposables to perform this procedure. An ambulatory infusion service was developed to provide non-disposable ambulatory patient controlled regional nerve block devices. These devices were placed in PACU and included technicians that provided patient instruction, clinical support and device programming in accordance with Joint Commission accreditation guidelines. A system was created to retrieve these devices and to process them for redistribution. This unique processing system included volumetric testing, electronics testing, documentation and UVGA sterilization. Orthopedic surgeons and anesthesiologists were the primary call points. Secondary call points included finance, pharmacy, clinical engineering and risk management.

Activities include the start to finish management of 7 states with the introduction of point of care electronic patient data collection systems in perfusion and anesthesia through the use of proprietary, class 2, touch screen monitors and non-invasive critical care parameter sensoring technologies through direct sales efforts and by supporting a distributor network. Further responsibilities include the promotion of automated custom electronic patient charting and connectivity with hospital electronic patient medical record systems utilizing HL7 interfacing, ADT inbound and outbound messaging, and custom SQL, database management. Project completions involve the integration of remote patient viewing and comparative outcome analysis for implementing QC, benchmarking projects, patient safety protocols and compliance programs. Daily duties also include the promotion and sales of continuous, non-invasive blood chemistry analyzation monitors for open heart and extended life extra-corporeal membrane blood oxygenation therapies

Founding direct representative for this region and then promoted to Regional Manager overseeing three representatives and 3 distributors. Daily responsibilities included the introduction of blood oxygenators, centrifugal flow and cardioplegia devices, cardiotomy and venous blood reservoirs, cannulation products, and custom kits for open heart surgery, minimally invasive heart cases, and long term ECMO procedures, to nurses, perfusionists and cardiovascular surgeons. Duties also included the promotion of post-surgical auto-transfusion blood management systems, implantable vascular access ports and central vascular access catheters to orthopedic surgeons, vascular surgeons and oncologists.
