Hofmann engineering is a mid-sized family-owned engineering company with a staff of over 400 in their Perth based operations. The role within the company involved a broad range of projects and responsibilities requiring extensive interactions with diverse stakeholders. This included. Overseeing management of a team of 27 maintenance staff comprising 3 departments including Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Maintenance providing support for approximately 200 machines, 80 cranes and 20 forklifts to ensure breakdown and preventative maintenance was carried out in a timely manner.

Hyperion Systems is building a circular economy for the marine and outdoor recreation industry using composites and sustainable manufacturing processes. This role involves providing strategic direction and technical development to the management team. Assisting with capital raising processes and overseeing technical development and patenting of new technologies.

Aurora Labs is an ASX listed technology company focusing on high-speed 3D metal printing with a goal of making additive manufacturing cost competitive with traditional manufacturing. I founded this company in 2014, took the company public in 2016 and built the team from myself and two co-founders to a team of approximately 45 employees. Developed a thermal spray valve repair procedure for offshore gas rigs and led a team to a successful repair of onsite valves.Developed autoclave Hard facing process for HPAL autoclave batten strips and led teams to successfully hard-face surfaces inside autoclave.Jointly developed and tested new Hardfacing for titanium ball valves for HPAL industry with significant increase in valve life. Presented paper at ALTA conference on results.Extensive experience in overlay techniques including PTA, APS, HVOF, MIG Powder Hardfacing, TIG, MIG, and other applications. Developed Tantalum APS thermal spray processSet up and tested small HPAL autoclave for Hardfacing and coating trials Developed and applied process for Hardfacing of dryer paddle scrolls.
