I have worked in Public Sector Procurement for almost 25 years in a variety of roles from data entry and materials management to Head of Service, but predominantly in tendering and contracting. I have procured a wide variety of commodities in different categories. In medical/clinical procurement this includes drapes and gowns, orthopaedic implants, flexible endoscopes, children’s community equipment (Kent, Surrey & Sussex), telehealth (for Surrey Health and Social care commissioner and provider organisations), temporary clinical staffing across various disciplines. In Estates and Facilities this includes Catering services, cleaning and total waste management, estates consultancy for works procurements, a ProCure 22 process for a specialist treatment centre, the Procurement of a CCHP plant and various refurbishment works up to £10m. In IT this includes the software, implementation support and client-side technical support for a SaaS ERP, HCM and Procurement system, a Timetabling, Exam Scheduling and Space Management system and a Curriculum Management System, in Corporate this includes temporary recruitment, executive search and recruitment, legal services and a variety of consultancy work packages supporting Target Operating Model, Strategy Development, Organisational merger and due diligence of different kinds. I was also pert of the evaluation team to pretender the NHS Supply Chain offer for the Department of Health.I am experienced in the PCR-prescribed procurement procedures, including Competitive Dialogue, and also in using a variety of National Frameworks including G-Cloud, CCS BOS, Big Data and Analytics, MCF 2 and 3, ProCure 22, NHS SBS, NHS Commercial Solutions, ESPO and the various Higher Education consortium agreements.I am experienced in devising, drafting and promoting guidance on Procurement matters, including providing targeted practical and strategic and compliance training, including updates on the new Procurement Bill for the Senior Leadership Team.I am driven to align procurement with organisational values, including Social Value (using the NETpositive Futures tool to engage with suppliers, adding questions into tendering processes, on sustainability, commitment to NZC, EDI including LGBTQ+) and key Higher Education values centred on Student Experience benefits and Employability.
