During a career spanning 30 years in financial services, Burrows has lived and worked in the U.S., France, Belgium, Singapore and Malaysia. His wide-ranging career encompassed assignments in investment management, corporate finance, banking, securities and project finance. He is President of Hudson Advisors, a money management firm with $250 million assets under management. He is also a consultant with Novantas, a leading financial services consulting firm. From 1999 until 2003, he was a managing director at Goldman Sachs & Co. and Chief Investment Officer of the Goldman Sachs Trust Company. Before his work at Goldman Sachs, Burrows spent 25 years at J. P. Morgan and was a managing director in the Investment Management Division from 1990 until 1999. In collaboration with McKinsey and Company, Burrows re-engineered and restructured Private Banking worldwide.In earlier assignments at J.P. Morgan, Burrows managed oil & gas and mining project financings in Asia, Middle East and Africa. Stationed in Asia in the early 80’s, he was CEO of Bank of Commerce, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (now the second largest bank in Malaysia). He subsequently served as senior vice president at Euroclear, the largest securities clearing organization outside the U.S., (Brussels, Belgium) where he was group head for marketing and risk management.Burrows graduated from Columbia University in New York and has been Co-Chairman of the American Banking Association Trust and Private Banking Committee. He is a Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) and holds Series 3, 7 and 63 securities licenses.
