In 2017 I cofounded a crowd innovation service having realised that there was an opportunity to improve the diversity and inclusivity of those involved in the events we were running improving the quality of the output and outcomes as a result. Over the 7 years owning the service we have progressed from a singular account to driving Capgemini UK wide innovation, multiple accounts and even supporting multiple geographies driving cost savings, time savings and revenue for Capgemini and our clients with crowds of up to 15000 people.

As David Burton, an ASE Facilitator at Capgemini, I’m passionate about creating dynamic, empowering experiences that unleash group genius. My role involves stripping away rational, emotional, and political blockers to enable teams, projects, and organisations to connect differently. Whether it’s uncovering true blockers to success, developing roadmaps for success, or mitigating risks, I thrive on driving transformative business outcomes.I play a pivotal role in creating transformative experiences within the Accelerated Solution Environments (ASE). These 1-3 day sessions address complex organisational challenges, leveraging skills, capabilities, and digital tools. My engagements are innovative, creative and utilise a combination of traditional and modern technologies to drive required outcomes and outputs. I work closely with our clients to understand the problem they are facing and connect with other areas of Capgemini to leverage the various capabilities across the organisation to design the best possible experience. I have worked across almost all sectors in the UK and beyond from manufacturing, energy and utilities, defence, FS and public sector having spent years working very closely with HRMC.

I joined Capgemini as a graduate and went to work in the Business Process Management centre of excellence as a Pega developer. This built on my understanding of Java, HTML and JavaScript but required learning a very new and unique tool in Pega itself.

My degree included a year long work placement which I chose to do at Pulsic. At Pulsic I worked as a software engineer mainly developing code in C++ and C as well as some python and bash scripting. Given the size of the company I was responsible for the majority of my own testing and understanding requirements.
